We focus on mums
We would love to help you enjoy your pregnancy and maintain your wellbeing throughout motherhood.
The concept of PlusOne Wellbeing was developed after seeing women struggle with pregnancy-related injuries in our regular practice. We felt we could provide a much-needed service tailored to support women through the physical challenges of pregnancy, helping them to stay active, relaxed and pain-free.
While pain during pregnancy may be common, it should not be dismissed as ‘normal’. Our team can offer you the expert assessment, treatment and advice you need.
Being a mum is a demanding job. We will give you the tools to self manage so you can put more energy into yourself and your family.
PlusOne Recover
Our post-natal six week rehabilitation programme is run through the year.
ANTE-NATAL AND POST-NATAL PHYSIOTHERAPY
Ante-natal
Pain is common in pregnancy, but not normal. Your body experiences incredible changes during pregnancy. As your baby grows, your centre of gravity shifts, hormones make your ligaments more mobile and you can experience changes in muscle tone and strength.
No two pregnancies are the same. Our longer appointment times make sure we have time to listen to you, so we can understand and assess your unique situation. We treat the cause, not just the symptoms, achieving long-lasting and effective results.
Our team offer you the expert assessment, treatment and advice you need in a relaxed and inclusive environment.
Post-natal
Having a baby is a life changing experience and it is important that you give your body time to recover from delivering your baby.
In 2018 the American College of Obstetricians recommended ongoing care of women in the “4th Trimester” where the care is focused on being women-centred along with the attention needed for a new baby.
We are fortunate in New Zealand to have our Tamariki cared for under the Well Child system. At PlusOne we feel we need well mums to give women the ability to feel great while looking after their families. We can support you to return to optimum health and wellbeing.
We understand post-natal conditions may feel embarrassing but please be assured you are not alone.
